Tom Thompson, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Thompson is also the Chairman &  Chief Executive Officer of Enviro Ambient Corporation.

Prior to joining Enviro Ambient and the Foundation, Mr. Thompson was the Chief Executive Officer of Eco Power Solutions. During his nine year tenure with Eco Power, Mr. Thompson drove the expansion of Eco Power from Canada to the United States, generated significant equity investment for the company, accepted the 2010 Most Promising Energy and Clean Technology Company award at the 8th Annual Rice Alliance Energy and Technology Venture Forum, and developed sales channels into the global markets that will benefit Enviro Innovate, its partners and stakeholders.

Mr. Thompson’s tenure at Eco Power was preceded by his ten year career as President & Chief Executive Officer of Capital Business Management Group, a member of the Thompson Corporation, an asset management company. Mr. Thompson’s tenure with Capital Business Management Group followed exemplary service in a senior management capacity with Canada Trust, The Royal Bank of Canada and First City Trust Company.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Thompson is a member of the New England Canada Business Council, the Volunteer Past Chair of the ALS Association – Massachusetts Chapter, and a founding member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Energy Committee.

Christine Frieze, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Frieze is a graduate of Boston College (B.S., Finance and Accounting 1983). She brings to the Foundation over 25 years of successful financial management. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Frieze was the Chief Financial Officer of Boston-based Eco Power Solutions, which was preceded by her position as Director of Financial Operations and Accounting for Meridian Companies LLC, a leading provider of tax credit equity financing. While at Meridian, she provided financial advice and guidance to over ten different companies, and interacted with FINRA and the SEC on a number of regulatory matters. In addition, she oversaw the fiscal management of several coal–based synthetic fuel and wind power construction projects. Before this, she was an analyst for Morgan Stanley and International Paper Company as well as an international treasury analyst with EG&G.

Sanjeev Jolly, Chief Engineering Strategist
As Chief Engineering Strategist, Mr. Jolly brings with him over 20 years of experience in power industry including design, performance testing and sales of HRSGs, gas turbine inlet air cooling systems and emission controls for wood and coal-fired units. He has an M.S. in mechanical engineering and MBA from University of Kentucky. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Jolly worked in several positions including Vice President of Engineering at Eco Power Solutions, Project Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Senior Design Engineer for Vogt Power International and as Technical Director for Caldwell Energy.

Mr. Jolly is a voting member of ASME PTC 51 committee and also licensed professional engineer in the State of Kentucky. Mr. Jolly has written over a dozen papers for ASME, Power Magazine and various reputed journals and has also served as instructor for ASME competitive college courses offered at PowerGen International.

Paul Scott, Vice President of Finance
Mr. Scott has a CA, CPA, an MBA (Queen’s University), and a BA Econ. (Queen’s University). He is an experienced professional with over 20 years providing corporate finance, advisory and mergers and acquisitions services, always as a key, trusted member of the transaction team. And 10 years prior to that as a senior financial officer in various technology companies.

Mr. Scott was a founder of NewPoint Capital Partners a leading Canadian mid-market investment banking firm, and prior to that a Partner at Crosbie & Company a mid-market corporate finance firm. During his tenure at these firms he lead financings in excess of $500MM in a variety of industries including manufacturing, energy, automotive, information technology, laboratory services and financial services. Also during this time, Mr. Scott managed and monetized the assets of a venture capital portfolio purchased from Alberta Government Telephone.

After completing a financing for a Chinese manufacturer, and having seen the state of the Chinese environment, Mr. Scott became keenly interested in the cleantech space. He has advised an NGO that trains all new Chinese mayors on sustainability, and has spoken at China/Canada cleantech symposiums. He has served as a part-time CFO/business development officer for a number cleantech companies.

Prior to his career in investment banking, Mr. Scott was a CFO at a number of information technology companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups to large turnarounds. He is well versed in the CFO’s stewardship roles, and is effective and comfortable in situations with several highly technical initiatives underway at any one time.

Gary Jessop, General Counsel
After over 22 years in the business and communications law groups of the Ottawa office of Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP (15 years as a partner), Mr. Jessop joined fellow Blakes alumnus Randy Proulx to start Jessop & Proulx LLP in January 2013.

Mr. Jessop’s corporate, commercial and securities practice involves general corporate/securities transactions, including acquisitions, private placements and prospectus offerings, both domestic and cross-border. Mr. Jessop has experience in corporate governance matters, providing advice to boards of companies of various sizes. Experience also includes providing advice to public companies on compliance with the ever expanding securities regulations and Mr. Jessop sits as corporate secretary for a number of public companies.

Mr. Jessop is “recommended” by Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the telecommunications, media and technology sector for Canada in the 2010, 2011 and 2012 editions.

John Tarvardian, Vice President Foundation Communications & Media Relations
Mr. Tarvardian has been a marketing strategist, product manager, and researcher for Internet start–up companies and for small businesses. With over 25 years experience, he brings a wealth of experience to developing online marketing solutions that increase revenue, raise brand awareness, and strengthen customer loyalty.

As an Internet strategist, Mr. Tarvardian has worked with companies to create websites that are logical extensions of their overall business strategies. He has produced award–winning, Internet–driven solutions that solve specific business problems and ultimately increase efficiencies, drive results, and generate business.
